Update...

Thank you generous blogging friends for your kind wishes. I'd like to say I was overwhelmed with visitors all day long but I would be fibbing. It has been very quiet (I know... my own fault for not advertising). Not many people at all, but those that came were interested and bought bits and pieces which made it all worth while.

I'm not about to retire to a life of luxury but there are few more pennies in the coffer.

And there was plenty of this on offer to make the day chugg along nicely.

I even got some stitching done on my portraits!

  1. Thank god for the alcohol - it's always nice to have a friend around when it's a bit quiet...

  2. Well, I'm glad it was a worthwhile day anyway! I was thinking about coming along but a huge black mood descended and believe me, when that happens I'm no company for anyone. Least of all my poor children who've had to put up with me snarling at them all afternoon. Still, now we have mulled wine to hand too, and pasta on the go so it's looking less end-of-the-world here ;-)

  3. Glad you had some visitors to buy up your goodies - the stall looked very inviting. I couldn't add my good wishes yesterday as Blogger wouldn't give me access. It does that sometimes. I wanted to tell you how much I like your portrait sketches and think that the stitched versions will be stunning.

  4. Oh! SO sad to have missed this - was it a one-dayer? I suspect it was otherwise I'd hop over topmorrow. I was at the Withersfield Bazaar with Celia. It was lovely!

Do I spy some very lovely little hair bobbles? I've been peering at your pictures of Ginathings and I think I can see some. Can I buy some more for a certain little sausage please?

  6. Sounds like a good day, even if you didn't sell as much as you would have liked. Looking forward to seeing those portraits. Thanks ever so for the lovely comment re the day's crocheting.... Will post re it soon. (And no, there won't be a granny squares blanket in amongst the photos......... Rome certainly wasn't built in a day yesterday!!! :O))))))

  10. Just a thimbleful....

think positively, you will now have a nice big boxful of 'stuff' ready for the next event. What a day - when we got to Birmingham for William's concert we could hardly stand up against the wind and rain!
