Going Bananas!

I think it is going to take me a while to become accustomed to shopping and cooking for four rather than five... I've only just got my head around the fact there are no longer six of us living here. Joe's absence has created a glut of bananas and eggs this week and so there was only one solution...

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's banana bread... lovely when still warm!

Ah well... after that little interlude it is back to the text books... Freud and Art History... it's enough to drive anyone bananas!

  2. Your cake looks delicious (even though I strangely seem unable to eat anything at the moment!) but the Freud and Art History sounds hard going! No wonder you needed a cake-baking-break! Lucy xx

  8. I know what you mean. I couldn't get used to it when we went from 5 to 4 to 3 to just the 2 of us. Then they keep coming back for the holidays and we rocket up to 4 and sometimes 6 and a tiny now. I never know when anyone is dropping in. So I still cook for 5 or 6 and we eat up left-overs.

  9. The banana bread looks scrumptious. When our son left home it took me about 6 weeks to remember to dish up one less Sunday lunch!

  11. Oooh yum! It looks delicious! My youngest just called today and he was talking about when he was in AU and Fiji, they met lots of UK kids who were traveling around the world. He, therefore, was trying to talk his mother into footing the bill so he could do the same! ;-)

  16. I loved art history, chose an extra module of that over a making one but I don't remember Freud ever featuring in my research!
