I was going for simple, understated elegance...
But the Ice Blue colouring was rather more "blue" than "ice"...
And then I got a bit carried away with the shimmer pearls... Well, they were pretty...
But it is a job finished and before Christmas Eve no less... That is an achievement in itself.
I'll be back tomorrow for one last post before I take a break... Maybe see you then!
Your cake looks lovely. Mine is very, erm, unlovely. I went for a circle of silver balls but kept sticking my finger in the icing which produced a very odd pattern. Time to bring out the glitter, I think.
ReplyDeleteso pretty Gina!

ReplyDeleteWow! I have put the marzipan on my cake and the decorations are bought. I think I need to push myself more next year.

ReplyDeleteWow your cake is beautiful! I wrapped mine in marzipan and icing but couldn't quite face decorating it... we have started eating it so my laziness may go unnoticed. If we eat it up quickly. Have a wonderful Christmas. xx
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! And where were you this morning when I was deep in icing rolling snowballs and wishing that I hadn't started!! Your cake is fabulous!!!!!!!!! Any chance of putting in my order for 2015? Now, when I show my cake tomorrow, you have to promise not to laugh! Thank you for all your e-mails, I might not get to reply before Christmas, but I did get them - thank you so much.
