Yesterday I chopped up lots of dried fruit and left it steeping overnight in copious amounts of alcohol.
Today I mixed up some other ingredients...
Combined the two together and there are now two large and two individual puddings steaming away as I type.
I know... I'm a few weeks late with this particular task but I really don't think anyone will notice as they tuck into their pudding on Christmas Day. And it is making the house smell rather lovely and Christmassy today. I could almost be tempted to put on some Christmas music... but no... a step too far I think.
I beg to differ...a good selection of Christmassy tunes never hurt a soul. The makings of the pudding look delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh I bet the smell is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGo on Gina put Slade on! ;)

You really are getting into the swing of things Gina. I can almost smell that delicious aroma from here!
ReplyDeleteOk so it's 'Stir Up Friday' who'll know only us blog readers......
ReplyDeleteYum yum.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was pretty industrious myself(considering I`ve 3 young kids), until I read what you`re up to!! Where do you get the energy and the time? I`m jealous! You should be selling your puddings and pies as well as your embroidered crafts and artwork - you have an amazing talent! Judith x
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell it from here! We've decided to opt for chocolate puddings this year because I'm the only one who likes Christmas pud and I know I'll miss that lovely smell.
ReplyDeleteI had to put Christmas tunes on today to keep me sane while wrapping presents for a particularly difficult relative and her particularly difficult brood. I figured a bit of Christmas cheer would stop me filling the wrapping with too much bad karma!
xx
Yum!! As I said in my comment on your last post ... you're being jolly productive! I need some of your oomph ... I haven't given pudding a thought. I did see some Christmas pudding ice cream somewhere, my lot might have to make do with that!
ReplyDeleteI have just read your last two blogs together - and am now going to sit down and rest just thinking about all that time and effort you put into all those delicious things.
ReplyDeleteLove the smell of Christmas puddings cooking - I always make mine in half term and everyone stirs them and makes a wish.
ReplyDeleteGo on put the Christmas music on to go with all those lovely Christmassy smells!
ReplyDeleteYou are making my tummy rumble.......... as for the sound of Clemencillo in your previous post, it sounds divine!
ReplyDeleteI've done this today but mine's called cake!
ReplyDeleteI've never made a Christmas pudding in my life Gina and no-one here likes it so it's just as well I don't have a hankering to do so. Perhaps we'll just have the alcohol and dispense with the fruit?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Christmas music. We have a total ban on any Christmas themed "popular" music at our house!
