Advent 2016 - fifteen

I'm still baking cakes but happy to have come to the end of all these Christmas cakes this week... Ten in total. On the upside, one of them is for us so I have actually finished our cake before Christmas Eve which is always something of an achievement.

Then yesterday I had this one to finish off... Another baby bump cake for one of my neighbours.

And talking babies... There is some news but you'll have to pop back tomorrow for that!

  3. I am not taking my first tentative steps into Christmas cookie baking. Something about the scent created when butter meets sugar really signals Christmas to me. Your cakes look fantastic. xo

  7. Gina I'm sure your secret news is very exciting - how lovely. And reading your daily advent posts is such a treat after 12 or more hours at the Panto coal face. I've never worked so hard, but it is brilliant fun! and nice to know that seasonal preparations are going on elsewhere, if not here. Have a lovely Christmas. T x

  8. Your Christmas cakes look amazing Gina! I made my first ever Christmas cake this year, but haven't yet put the marzipan on it. It's ageing in a rum-soaked wrap, but we're anxious to try it now after three weeks.
