Kitchen Poetry :: two

Kitchen Poetry today.... the pumpkin bread made from yesterday's pumpkin, inspired by Marmaladekiss and the recipe from here. Being unable to follow a recipe to the letter I reduced the salt and yeast by about half and added a knob of butter. It looks okay but has been tasted yet... still hot from the oven.

Other happenings here... another consignment of Wiggly Bags this time from Lesley... Thank you Lesley, they are gorgeous and such wonderful fabrics.

And this morning I finished this applique picture which is a commission for an advent calendar... twenty six days early!!! That must be a first for me. (Although I was commissioned last Christmas Eve!)

  1. I'll be first then.

    Can't think of a suitable response other than are there now 4 'F's' in Crisp Packet Prairie Points?

  2. Lots of loveliness again. I love the advent calendar, the angels look a bit like you! Oh yes they do! I like the gingko leaf too. Well done for being 26 days early, sort of.

  6. That bread looks very yummy and probably nicer than the soup I made with our pumpkin - needed a lot of help to make it taste of anything!

    Glad you like the bags and for once I'm impressed with Royal Mail!!

    I love your applique and am most impressed that you got it done with so much time to spare.

  9. I can almost smell that pumpkin loaf - I bet it was delicious. The angels are delightful and such fun. A project like that must be a bit of light relief in between the seriousness of your study for the Opus course. Hopefully you weren't too busy to enjoy it.
