Books... and more books!

I sometimes feel I will be making these little matchbox books forever! Every spare minute I am sat at my table working on another book yet no matter how many I make there are still more to do. But I'm still loving making every one. This week there has been the third book that I've made on the theme of Music.

A tiny stitched book made in response to a request for something in orange/green/muddy colours.

Part of the fun of making these books is responding to the special requests.

This one is for a young girl who likes purple and pink... and the beach.

And the last one this week has been for one of my knitting friends. She left the theme of the book up to me so it had to be knitting.

Think I might have dropped a stitch!

I have got fourteen books left to make of the original edition of 50 so if you have ordered one and are beginning to think I have forgotten... fear not... you should hear from me in the next couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your patience and support.

The sale of the first 50 books has paid for about half the telephone box so there is still money to be raised. As I mentioned in my last post I'm making an edition of 20 Jubilee themed books to sell at the exhibition. But I will also be putting some of them into my etsy shop and the first couple of these are now up for grabs here.

I will be back on Monday with news of another project... the name of the recipient of "A Fine Colour of Rust"... and probably more books! Have a lovely weekend.

  1. I am having trouble deciding which of these is my favourite - the music one speaks to me, but then there's the beach one, and the jubilee ones are just fab ...

    They will be treasured.
