A job done
Except that is for
- those that I've got to check out an address
- those to whom I really must enclose a letter
- those to whom I always send a hand made card
- and those I will hand deliver

And on another note the results of my impromtu giveaway. I finished another stocking over the weekend so there are two winners... Greenpixey and Muriel... so along with my cards I will be posting some stockings too.
I'm planning to break the back of my card writing today too. Always a relief when it's done!
ReplyDelete!!!! Knew there was something else I'd got to do :-O
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, we've had one of those 'early morning phone call - life goes down an alternative route' starts to the day.
I guess Christmas cards will happen - just not high on the agenda.

I've just written my 'abroad' cards so I can post them when I go shopping tomorrow. The others will get done over the weekend and posted on Monday.
ReplyDeleteWHOO HOO!! Thank you so much :) They both look fantastic, I cant wait for Emrys to receive his. I'm off to email you now with my address.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the card writing, it is always such a nice feeling when you slip them all into the post box.
ReplyDeleteIt is always a lovely feeling when the cards are slipped into the letterbox - I just have the hand delivery ones to do now.
ReplyDeleteHow do you do so much? We just have 24 hours in a day here in Scotland. Perhaps you have more. Thank you so much in advance for Callum's stocking. As to Christmas cards --that is why we have been selling so many in the Charity Christmas Card sale in the library where I am off to work soon. People actually write them! I must get around to it soon. I am just finishing off 2 more patchwork quilts for grandchildren, then cards it shall be.
ReplyDeleteI was determined to finish the card writing last weekend, and just about managed it at 8pm on Sunday evening! I too have piles of those to post, those to put in the Scout post, those to hand deliver, etc. Hope you get it done soon. Those stockings are absolutely gorgeous. x
ReplyDeleteAAgggghhhhh!! They've started arriving through the letterbox and lining up on the piano, signalling (a) the end of dusting until January (b) the need for stamps and a List (c) time to feel frustrated and overwhelmed because I didn't start making them back in October (d) that I have too many relatives
ReplyDeleteHaven't given them a thought yet.............. I am always a bit of a last minute merchant with cards........... :O)))
ReplyDeleteNothing's ever straight forward, is it? Not even card writing!!

I am in awe, my cards won't even be designed until Friday or Saturday as we always make our own. I am another last minute poster.
ReplyDeleteI have the cards written but need to get them in the post before they need 1st class stamps and a parcel to wrap and get off before it's to late!
ReplyDeleteYou had to go and mention the cards. I haven't even bought any yet let alone made, written, posted, etc.
ReplyDeletefeeling smug, as have done mine - however have still to deliver/post them!!!

Dear Gina,
ReplyDeleteI should be writing my cards and here I am reading your blog! Thanks for the reminder to get it done. Usually I'm long finished by now.
Best wishes!
