wow, they look good, do they have a franipane-y kind of topping? Well done you for making your own mincemeat too - mine's coming out of a jar this year!
They are sooo gorgeous! Is there any chance you could send me the recipe? I've never made mince pies before. Of course my filling will have to come from a jar...
wish I'd remembered your version of mincemeat before my disastrous efforts...although I think I've now rescued the super boozy batch by mixing it in with a double batch of Delia's.
Gina, those mincemeat pies look absolutely scruptious! Thanks for the link to the recipe...but if I do get around to making any of these treats, I suspect it will be with ready-made mincemeat.
I am rushing through lots of final Christmas preparations in my own version of Santa's workshop. xo
They look lovely! Mine usually come in a cardboard box in little silver dishes. But I may give making my own a go this year, but with a jar of mincemeat.....
Delicious - yum! They won't last long - you'd better get cracking on the second batch. Don't things look lovely displayed on a proper cake plate instead of just a flat one?
You've done something special with the toppings Gina ;-) They look delicious - how many are there now?
