The snow was far too powdery to make a snowman yesterday and so I stayed inside and used the snow as inspiration to decorate the Christmas cake...
and remembered a cake I made many years ago, when I combined snowman building with cake decorating!

Awwwww! We're not having a cake this year. No-one ever eats it and mine usually look far less decoratiove than yours!
ReplyDeleteWe did manage to make a snowman but now Tall Small is sneezing and running a temperature so I think we'll have a day inside. I have a horrible feeling our Christmas is about to be derailed ...
Gorgeous cakes and I have no doubt they'll taste as good as they look Gina. Bet your kids loved the snowmen one.
ReplyDeleteYou are a pro! Beautiful!
ReplyDelete!!! I knew there was something else to put on my list... decorate cake!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder Gina!

On my to do list, decorate the cake! Yours do look lovely. But I'm off now to play with my paints, so we may just have plain fruit cake instead.
ReplyDeleteThey are both wonderful cakes - I like the sophistication of the snowflake one, and the fun of the snowman one! x
ReplyDeleteEverything you make is beautiful. I cannot think of a better way to spend a snow day!
ReplyDeleteAdorable snowman number and very chic a la Delia style 2010 version. As I have said before is there no end to your talents??
ReplyDeleteStay warm :)
Beautiful cakes. I am getting up early tomorrow morning to do mine. :O))))
ReplyDeleteI don't suppose for one minute you'll believe me - but in my former life I made that snowman cake too - well, I bought the cake but I decorated it - it was from a Family Circle recipe if I remember rightly. I'm gonna dig the photo out just to to prove I was once a domestic goddess.
ReplyDeleteBoth cakes are stunning! You are a woman of many talents.
ReplyDeleteThere is no end to your talents! What fabulous cakes! Love the snowmen.
ReplyDeleteYou're amazing Gina -- they're both just beautiful! I especially love the little playful snowmen!
