Lazy Days

What fantastic weather for the first week of the school summer holidays... warm and sunny. I have been reading blogs about lazy days filled with activities like paddling and wishing I could be spending my days like that. Instead this is what I've been doing indoors today... studying! There have been no photos of stitch samples or artwork for Opus recently because my current module involves lots of reading, writing and research about issues of twentieth century art, which will result in an essay at the end of the module.

There was compensation at the end of the day though!

The angle of that photo looks as though I've already had a couple before I took it! I hadn't... honestly!

  1. Such a shame you have to miss out on some of the sunshine, but the spot of mother's ruin looks like a just reward! Keep the bottle away from the sock creatures though - Millie Boggle might be after it!

  3. It always seemed so unfair to me that exams are always set in the summer so you had to revise like mad when the weather was lovely - I suppose that's what is happening to you too! Enjoy the drink though - love the wonky photo!

  6. No chance of taking the books outdoors and dunking your feet in a paddling pool while you study, is there?! Or how about a foot spa under the desk?

  8. That photo of your essay-writing sent a spasm of fear through me...then I realised that mine are all finished for now :) It looks like you worked hard to deserve that drink!

p.s. LOVE the spider bag below, it's such a great idea and I couldn't believe that you stitched the webs yourself!

  9. I think that drink is an artistic interpretation of the leaning tower of Pisa. Surely just an addition to your module? ;-)

  10. I hope the essay is done in time for you to enjoy some sunshine and paddling.

Rewarding yourself with a refreshing lime juice and soda is such a good idea ;)
