Advent :: Day Twenty four

Well here we are... Christmas Eve! I've done another twenty four days of blog posts in December and 1000 posts in total. Who would have thought it... not me! I've met so many lovely people through blogging - some of you in real life and some of you just virtually but each and every one of you have been a pleasure to get to know and have made blogging such fun... so I would like to say thank you. Thank you for sticking with me (some people have been around since that first post in July 2007), thank you to new followers and readers, thank you for leaving comments, thank you to those who quietly read!

And by way of a thank you I would like to make some thing for you. All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post between now and New Year's Eve and tell me would you prefer a notebook...

An apron...

A tea cosy or a cushion cover (cushion pad not included).

You then need to tell me what words or phrase you would like on your item (No more than about six words!) and leave the rest up to me. I will pick out one winner from all the comments and custom make their preferred item. Go on... what are you waiting for!

*****

I'm now having a few days off during which time I hope to sort out my email - sorry I've been unable to reply to your comments. So I would like to wish everyone who reads this blog...

 A Very Happy Christmas.
May your days be merry and bright!

  5. Aw Gina this is a very generous giveaway, love your makes!
Congrats on a 1,000 posts! I'll have to go and look at my stats, can't remember the exact year I started blogging or how many postings.
Although I'm a cat lover, I do particularly like the tea cosy pictured. It has spots,'Time for tea', a teacup and saucer and serves a great purpose -hopefully keeping my teapot warm!

Have a great Christmas and an even better 2014!

  7. Congratulations Gina on your 1000th post. I see I have a long way to go before I catch up with you, only 349 so far.

I think I would go with the tea cosy and "always time for tea" like you did for my mother-in-law (not necessarily the same colours but the same words) and that will inspire me to get a tea-pot. I do drink tea lots but made in a thermos which keeps it nice and hot through the day, but there are times that you can't beat a nice pot of proper tea.

Have a great Christmas and see you in the blogosphere in the New Year

  13. 1000 posts!! Congratulations. I've got a long way to go to catch up with that - not even half way there. I'd love a (ginger) cat cushion that read "Not on my chair!"- I can't tell you why, but Marvin is in disgrace with Mr T.

  51. Wow Gina.....1000 posts! Quite an achievement. I think I have been following you since 2009. I have often found you to be a great inspiration.

I would love anything you make although the tea cosy appeals the most.

  52. Gina,
We especially love your apron (although the tea cosies we gave as Christmas gifts were very popular and having stuff nicked by siblings is a sure sign of success - in this case my sister and the holly hair bobbles!)

I'd like my husband to win an apron with this text:
    Passionate
    dEvoted
    arTistic
    & an Excellent cook

Layout is critical (the uppercase letters are supposed to be vertically aligned but I can't do so in this comment) - but I'm sure you're up for the challenge.
My reason? He enjoys cooking, especially to relax when stressed and a free "tastes of Bedfordshire" apron doesn't have any kudos!

  53. Hi Gina, congratulations on 1000 blogs. I am still making the Sockys and am so grateful for you teaching us in Jersey. The profits go to 2 Children's Hospices. I would love to win anything you make with that lovely robin on it. Have a wonderful New Year. Vera.

  57. Amazing 1000 posts! But I wish someone would invent 'taste' Internet for some of them? The cakes look fab.
Hard to decide what to choose if I should win one of your lovely bits but I think it would have to be the book cover, just as it is but with a few musical notes hidden amongst the hearts and flowers then I could keep my music for my new ukulele Christmas present in it!

  60. Congratulations on 1000 posts. I am amazed at how much you manage to do - and that you find time to write about it as well! I challenged myself to make one six inch crochet square every week this year for a blanket. 25 big squares and 140 small ones later (I decided it needed borders between the panels), I started blocking and finishing yesterday - a throw rather than a blanket. If only I had kept a record of all the other things I made along the way I could use it to justify why I didn't complete the blanket inside a year! I would love a notebook with the word 'create' on the cover - I could use it to note everything I make in 2014. Thank you for the inspiration.

  61. That's creativity for you! Love every thing especially a note book to remind me of the great time we had with you in Tollesbury!
