Advent :: Day seventeen

After my recent craft fairs I was delighted to have sold my entire stock of sock creatures...the eleven remaining monsters will be popping up in Christmas stockings next week!

I'm sure there will be more next year but for now I fancied trying something else so when Gill showed me a photograph of this sock reindeer kit, the gauntlet was thrown...

And Ronnie the Reindeer was born...

He looks disturbingly like someone I know... but I'm not telling...

  6. Love him! But Gina, you're in that time warp again - the one where you have twice as many hours in the day than anyone else :)

  7. Oh Gina...those stripey reindeer are so jolly! I can imagine how children would love finding one under the Christmas tree. And that brings me to your very pretty Christmas tree, and a childhood memory.

    It was always my Dad and I who took care of putting up and decorating the Christmas tree. I was never sure if no one else wanted to be bothered, or whether the other family members just allowed the two of us to have this tradition together.

    Nowadays, there's no room for a tree in my apartment, but I do manage to find space for some branches of greenery and holly in a tall glass vase...and hang a few of my vintage bauble on those branches. That's my new tradition!

  13. Just love him! You have just reminded me that I started a sock monkey 3 years ago out of Father Christmas socks. It won't take long to complete ans will make a great stocking filler. Thank you x
