Back Down to Earth

After all the excitment and good news of last week it actually feels quite good to get my feet back on the ground this week (in fact I should be getting ready for work not writing this!)

Open studios was a great success with lots of visitors including several bloggers.
It was lovely to see Val, Chrissie, Jane and of course Gill, who stayed to help me on Saturday. (Gill took the photo above with her new camera). I'm open again this coming weekend if you still want to visit.

A downside of all the fun and excitment last week was that there was lots of eating out as well as grabbed snacks and meals so healthy eating wasn't top of my list... never mind all that cake. So this week I turned to my lovely new cookbook... a birthday present from Ben.

And made the most fabulous lemon and aubergine risotto. It may not make the prettiest picture but it did taste good! I can't wait to try more from this wonderful book.

I really must get ready for work now... it's our last meeting of SPECTRUM before the summer. Which of course means a lovely shared lunch. I can see that my healthy eating regime won't last long!

  16. I'm so glad the open studios went well - good luck for the coming weekend. That sales table of goodies looks enticing - I am particularly envious of your very professional-looking card stand! I've had to stick mine in a tupperware...

  17. You'll find some delicious recipes in that book - we have it and love it but sadly it doesn't do Slimming World recipes so it is being rather neglected lately!! Lucy xx
