I Just Popped By...

to say that the Ladies of Romford were lovely! And not even one of them fell asleep during my talk. Of course so many of them are fellow bloggers that it is no surprise that they are lovely... Chrissythreads, 77belle, I am inspired and Dianehobbit were all there this afternoon to cheer me on (well not literally... but you know what I mean.) And when I got home there was a parcel waiting for me...

With my new very pretty Cath Kidson plimsolls.

And as if that wasn't enough, a brand new teapot, because the spout broke on my old one.

We're about to have take away pizza, I might even stretch to a glass of wine and then tomorrow I plan to spend working in the garden. Not a bad weekend all in all! Hope yours is good too.

  2. I loved those plimsolls too but haven't succumbed as yet! - the trouble with not being young is I might look like old ladies in plimsolls and socks used to look !!!!

  17. Gina Gina GINA - I saw those cherry plimsolls, I yearned for them, I pined for them, I could not buy because of the year of thrift, I put the catalogue in the recycling bin like a good girl.

When we meet next meet could you wear them so I might stroke them?...and sigh.

  18. I got all flustered and wrote meet twice - it's because of the shoes.

  19. Just loved Emma's first comment (!).

And aren't your new plimsoles lovely. They're making me smile (and the teapot).

Hope you're not too achey after a day in the garden.

  20. You what made me laugh ... the word plimsoles. We don't use that here in the States, and I have read it so many times in so many novels imported from the UK.

And yet ... this is my first chance to write what I just wrote to someone across the Pond. We would call those shoes (back in my youth) tennis shoes, and since Nike, et al. took over, sneakers.

I just love the term plimsoles. What is plim?

Your shoes are beauties, and that tea pot is one I would love to try to fit on my shelf.

Your posts are always such fun to read. xo
