Redressing the Balance

Following yesterday's post several of you left lovely comments suggesting I might be some kind of superwoman who can magic up extra hours in the day... I thought I ought to put the record straight.

This is my ironing basket today... before I added another three washloads to the pile... (and some of the stuff at the bottom has been there months... I kid you not)

This is the dog hair that has accumulated along the skirting board in the hall....

This is my kitchen floor after walking the dog this morning... and it still looks the same this evening...

And this is dinner....

And as for those legs... they were ten years younger and several inches thinner than they are today. So perhaps I'm not so super after all! (I have been busy painting sets today though!)

  1. I figure if an ironing pile exists with less than a few months' content then the owner of it needs to get on and do more exciting things!

  8. It's all about mind over matter, leave the stuff that does not interest you until it does...who wants to be houseproud?

  10. You've seen my fave mug before. A clean house - a sign of a wasted life. Those dog hair bunny is identical to the ones at our house. Ours are breeding though!

  14. You are super Gina, and best of all, with your dog hairs and muddy floor, you're normal like the rest of us. I remember having a seemingly permanent pile of ironing when all our children were still living at home. I sometimes wonder now if those things that always seemed to stay in the bottom of the basket got thrown away in the end, because they'd grown out of them!

  19. You make me feel so much better, Gina, I'm not alone! And you've definitely got your priorities right. Very impressed by your bravery on getting your legs out too, although I think I might if I had legs like that!

  21. Your ironing pile reminds me of friends husband who put $20 at the bottom of her ironing basket and had to tell her about it 6 months later as she had not found it!
