A quick request

I know I should be moving on with my assignments but I wanted to try one last picture ... this time with the introduction of a little colour. I now have all sorts of ideas for turning this into a stitched piece (which will be outside the remit of the module) and this is where you might be able to help. I would like to collect as many newspaper cuttings that relate to dancing or movement as I can and wondered if you could collect any that you might come across and send them my way? I would be most grateful. Please drop me an email if you think you can help.

Meanwhile over the weekend I've been making the most of the sunshine down here and have been digging out the vegetable beds.

And clearing the last of the summer vegetables... mostly lots of green tomatoes and a couple of courgettes that seemed to escape my notice. Do you think I should make chutney?

PS went to Making and Mending at Bury St Eds Art Gallery - have you seen it? Loved the Jennifer Hollingdale quilts and Stephen Dixon and Alison Welsh's upholstered chair.

  12. Just a thimbleful....

what a lovely progression of your work- I look forward to seeing the end result. Margaret Starr has a couple of 'dancing' pictures at Art Van Go - so obviously 'Strictly' fever is spreading! Last night we had cold lamb, mashed potatoes, baked beans and home made green tomato chutney - cannot beat it !

  14. Hi Gina has it got to be from newspapers or can it be magazines. I have an old newspaper (60's) which Ill check out for you.

I love your dancing couple you've drawn and can definitely feel the movement and love the work from your life drawing class. After reading your last few posts can I just say how handsome your boy is too.

    Thanks for the good wishes

    Love Judy x

  18. I love the addition of colour - don't they say -newspapers are meant to be red.
Will get my Mum on the case, she reads every bit of her paper and is always tearing out snippets of info for me - usually about the latest health scare, or how women are better off without men! Dance will give her a new topic. x
