Rhubarb!

What do you do when a friend drops off a bag of rhubarb fresh from her garden...

Make Rhubarb and Ginger Jam! (inspired by Mags) It's not the prettiest colour jam (I won't share with you what one of my lovely boys likened it to this morning) but it tastes wonderful!

And lest you think this is fast becoming a food blog I will share some rather stunning experimental embroidery on Lutradur... not made by me I hasten to add but by a couple of my City and Guilds students.

  3. Hi Gina, I think rhubarb is a very close second only to damson jam, but home-made is always the best !!

    I think the seaweed vessel is gorgeous - what clever students you have. Wish I lived nearer so I could take your classes!! Carolyn

  5. Rhubarb and Ginger jam - yum - reminds me of my childhood. Both my Mum and Gran used to make it. I just love those Lutrador pieces made by your students. You must be very proud of them.

  13. The jam sounds fab! Big sister Ally made some rhubarb and ginger jam as part of her swap present at the bloggy picnic and having sampled some for breakfast I know how delish it was! Your students' work is amazing! Lucy x

  17. As happens so many times I've peeped at your rhubarby tastiness a couple of times already - then Muuummmmeeee! All I can say (finally!) is YUM. Rhubarb jam. My mouth is watering.

  18. Rhubarb crumble and custard is the way forward. Or just custard if you are not sure about the rhubarb.
