How did he go from this....
(Even scarier is that my eldest "baby" will be twenty six next week!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!
For his birthday cake, Jacob requested a toffee cheesecake. Not the most sensible request for a diabetic but I've carefully counted all the carbohydrates and we've worked out he can have a slim slice if he takes enough insulin. Which means fat slices for the rest of us!
That wasn't the only cake to be made today as I've been making more "pink" things for our event tomorrow... 120 pink cupcakes! It seemed like a good idea at the time but half way through icing them now I'm not so sure!
I shall finish with something totally unrelated and random, just because it made me very excited - my orange dress is part of a window display in "The Art of Interiors" in Barkway which is having an exhibition of textiles. How exciting is that!

Happy birthday Jacob, enjoy the cake, it looks yummy!!
ReplyDeleteI too thought it would be a good idea to make 70+ pink buns for Francesca's birthday when she was at nursery, argh!
Have a lovely weekend!

Lucy x
P.S. How exciting to have your dress in a shop window!
No need to feel scared - my eldest baby was 51 yesterday! Now that is scary. Happy Birthday to both of them, and I hope yours doesn't know you've shown us all a picture of him in the bath! He did look sweet then, and is going to be a real heart breaker if he hasn't already broken a few!
ReplyDeleteYour dress looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of fabric is it made from?
Have a great weekend.x
Happy 16th Birthday to your lovely baby boy!!!
ReplyDeleteEchoing Locket on the 120 iced cakes thing! I bet it seemed like a good idea at the time :)

Which is more yummy? Jacob, or the cheesecake? Both look absolutely scrumptious! (In the most respectful 'mum-point-of-view way, don't want to embarrass the lad!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome young man! And congratulations on having your dress exhibited, well done you!
