Hello Chelmsford!

I've had a lovely day spent with fourteen ladies from the Chelmsford Embroiderer's Guild. Todays class was another "Machined Textures" and as always I was delighted by the variety of interpretations and the finished results. Most of the following photographs are work in progress, only one or two are finished, however they are all fabulous! Inspiration has come from landscapes, seascapes and rusted surfaces to name but a few. So here is the work of June, Angela, Kirsten, Diane, Margaret, Debra, Adele, Jeanne, Penny, Carol, Jennifer, Linda, Sheila and Jean but not necessarily in that order! Although I can pair most pieces of work with their creator I'm bound to get one or two wrong so it's safer not to try!

I've had a lovely day, so if you are reading, Ladies of Chelmsford, I hope you have too! I'll be back in Chelmsford in a weeks time for a talk... looking forward to that. But for now, I'm off to put my feet up, have a glass of wine and watch a DVD (French Kiss if you are interested!)

  1. Wow! Such talented ladies and an inspirational teacher! These horizontal layers really appeal to me and your ladies have used some wonderful colours. They deserve congratulating, as do you. Hope the wine is good! :o)
