I was at Heathrow airport at silly o'clock this morning to meet someone special.
The bedroom is cleared, the fridge is stocked and
I'm very happy to have my boy back home.
Although sad that he has had to cut his travels short because my Dad is so poorly.
But proud that he has come home early to spend time with his Grandad.
I wish it could have been under better circumstances for you but how lovely to have your handsome 'boy' home. I'm sure he will help support you at this difficult time.

ps I suspect that fridge might need restocking again rather sharpish!!
You must be so pleased. No wonder you are proud of him; too often today young people are portrayed as self centred - not this young man obviously.
ReplyDeleteAustralia can wait, his grandad can't.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time you have together.
Lovely picture! My daughter runs a mile if I point a camera in her direction!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you all at this difficult time and having your 'boy' home will help to support you in many ways by just being there.
xxxxxxxx
Not good circumstances, but still lovely to have him home. How very special that he came home early to see his Grandad.
ReplyDeleteTry and enjoy your weekend together
Welcome home Joe even though the circumstances are not good. Did you learn to cook while you were away by any chance? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSad times Gina but good to have your boy back for support and to keep you busy in the kitchen!
He's a good lad - your Dad will get so much pleasure from a visit from him. Good job you made all those flapjacks!

ReplyDeleteA necessary return home. Such sad circumstances but no doubt it is good to have him back.
ReplyDeleteSorry that Joe needed to come home under these circumstances Gina, but it's good to have all your boys with you in times like this. I'll be thinking of you all. x
ReplyDeleteI know the bond between a mother and her son and I'm so pleased for you Gina that you have him home, I'm just sorry it couldn't have been under happier circumstances.

ReplyDeleteLife can be so bittersweet at times. How wonderful to have your son home again, but so sad about the circumstances. Enjoy every moment you can with both special men.
ReplyDeleteThat he's come home at such a time says such a lot about this young man of yours. Be proud Mum (I know you are), you have a gem there and it's good to know he's going to be close when you need family the most.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have Joe home - but I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. Sending you lots of love, Lucy xx
ReplyDeleteGlad Joe has arrived safely; enjoy having him home.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that Joe has come home for such a sad reason, but how wonderful to have him home again - no doubt your cooking skills will be to the fore, that fridge will need restocking pretty soon. Cheers
ReplyDeleteI bet it is such a comfort to have your children around you when you need them. I bet your Dad will love seeing him home with you too. Take care xxx
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that your Dad is so unwell but, understandably, you sound jolly happy that your boy is home. Mine is currently en route from the wilds of Northern Scotland, it will be good to see his smiley face too.
