Day::Three

Ever since we've lived in this house my Mum has made us a garland for the door at Christmas time.

I don't usually start putting up decorations until mid-December but as she delivered this year's garland last weekend it seems a shame to keep it hidden from view in the garage.

I always think it makes the house look lovely and welcoming.
Thank you Mum!

For those of you who've sent cheques for a DVD I apologise. It would seem the date I was given for their arrival is a movable feast and I'm now being told they will be here within the week. The envelopes are ready and they will be posted out as soon as they are with me. It does mean the pre-release offer of £18  will remain in place for another week should anyone still be interested.

  1. I really like how you call it a garland, as I don't remember them being called festive wreaths years ago but now that is how they are described in magazines etc. I prefer garland it sounds more fun.

  2. I think they always look lovely. I noticed when in the US they have their doors decorated all year with appropriate themes for the time of year!

  3. There's nothing like a beautiful handmade Christmas door garland and yours is just that. Clever Mum. Being talented and artistic obviously runs in your family. I used to make ours and one for my Mum but have been known to cheat of late!

  4. That's stunning wreath (or garland? I always call ring shaped ones wreaths and swaggy ones garlands... whatever)

    I must get ours made - I love walking round the garden gathering greenery for it.

  9. If I had a wreath as beautiful as that I'd want to keep it on the door all year round ... what a gorgeous mum you have, and I see the artistic talent runs in the family.
