Day :: Seventeen

This morning we braved the crowds in Cambridge but after two hours I'd had enough.

So we came home and decorated the tree instead.

  5. I'm impressed you stayed for 2 hours, I went a few weekends ago and it was really crowded even then and caused me to have a major sense of humour failure!

    Pretty tree.

  6. Decorating the tree is a much better idea, it looks lovely - I did ours today and have chucked all the boxes and spare bits in the spare room. Hope no-one needs to stay overnight during Christmas!

  9. Cambridge this morning? Urgh. I can't begin to imagine the hideousness. Waitrose was rammed yesterday morning and that was even before the kids broke up and people started finishing work!

  11. I am doing all I can to avoid the shops. I expect I will have to give in soon though.

    We stayed in Cambridge some years ago when visiting my husbands aunt. I found the crowds a bit hard to cope with. The small villages outside of the town are lovely - my husband grew up there.

  12. Eeeeh, but I've enjoyed catching up with your posts. I also saw the Kirsty Allsop snowglobes and was impressed. I had made them with children years ago putting coconut into the water for "snow" and was fascinated to see that she added something to the water to make it slightly "thicker". I have a "thing" for snowglobes....... and own a particularly nice little collection. I have avoided the shops like the plague!

  13. What a tree! We're going for rustic sticks in a pot this year - saves sweeping up all those needles that get knocked off by clumsy whippets!
