This morning I met
Celia and
Emma for a wonderful walk around the Winter Gardens at
Anglesey Abbey. The sun shone...
and whilst Celia and Emma spoke knowledgably about plants and gardens
I was mesmerised by the stunning array of colours and textures...
without a clue what I was looking at for most of the time!
And when we had finished there was time for tea and cake... (although I'm still resisting)
and chatting, of course. It couldn't have been a lovelier morning.
I'm so sorry to have missed you, but I was thinking about you all!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images from your wintry walk - thanks for sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I've only been there in the summer, but I think I'd like to go now after looking at your pictures.
ReplyDeleteJust look at the colour of the sky in that last photo!!! Gorgeous! :)

Lovely pictures, I need to pay a visit to this garden.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful. I particularly like the one of the birches.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling at the image in my head of the three of you enjoying each others company and smiling in the sun.
ReplyDeleteLovely images! Everywhere I look, I am surrounded by white snow, so seeing life and color is a treat for my eyes!
ReplyDeleteGina, I've just visted Celia's post about this same walk, and now am delighted to see your photos.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I say, Central Park is in deep hibernation. Not much of a show going on there. Still. On my day off tomorrow, I will head out for a look.

ReplyDeleteYes, we are so lucky to have the Winter Garden to cheer us up - the silver birches are always stunning. The Botanic Gardens are also worth a visit now, of course. Glad you resisted temptation with the cake !
Our son lives in Cambridge so we have visited the winter garden at Anglesey Abbey a couple of times. It really is magnificent. Our plan for tomorrow is to visit the NT other and new winter garden at Dunham Massey in Cheshire.
ReplyDeleteCelia tweeted about this and I was SO envious! Gorgeous photos tho' so I can enjoy those. Thanks! x
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photos you've shared with us.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wow factor in Winter, I must visit at during another season too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, what a wonderful to have nearby! Those birches remind me of Klimt's paintings of them, the way nature creates patterns just be being itself.
ReplyDeleteWell done fro resisting the cake, what's the secret?!!
It looks like you had a lovely time! Lucy x
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures. Looks like the perfect walking (and talking!) spot. K x
