One Last Splash

How about this for a final splash of colour in January... beautiful bold bright prints.

In the week between Christmas and New Year a brown paper package arrived for me... you can imagine my surprise when I realised I had won a competition that was held on the Selvedge blog. I have subscribed to Selvedge magazine since the first issue and always enjoy the snappy editoral style and glorious photography, not to mention looking all the gorgeous covetable objects they have for sale.

So I was delighted to win this printed tablecloth and set of tea towels from Swedish designer Gudrun Sjoden

But don't tell anyone... I think I might use the fabric for something other than adorning my table or drying my dishes!

On the other hand... maybe not!

  4. Just a thimbleful....

Now that is what I call pattern on pattern. Why isn't there one of your colourful cakes on the table there as well? Eaten it, huh?

  6. Congrats on winning the competition Gina - super prize. It tries to steal the limelight from your lovely teapot etc., so maybe you could put it to another use.

I've heard of Selvedge but never actually seen a copy. I was contacted by one of their editors once but never heard back.

  12. OMG!!! you are so lucky, I love Gudrun Sjoden and go in her shops to drool when I visit my brother in Sweden. As for Selvedge, I love it too and subscribe religiously by direct debit to ensure I don't miss any. Can I ask you though...do you find some of it difficult to read because of the dark backgrounds and non black text or is it just me??
