But frankly, I don't care because where else could I sit my lurid pink cupcakes?
And I feel tickled pink every time I look at it!
A textile blog about food and family life ...and my creative journey.
And I feel tickled pink every time I look at it!
I don't think it's awful at all! Cath Kidston sells those for a fortune at a time!
ReplyDeleteI proudly brought home my latest charity shop find - a little rose printed china tray for my makeup in the bathroom and Rupert laughed at it and siad it was granny-ish. I took great pleasure in telling him I was completely on trend and he should just be grateful I'd paid £2.50 instead of £20!
Its a happy plate and I love it!
ReplyDeleteTacky??? Whatever do you mean, I've got one in my lounge with my felt chocolates on. And every thing I do is in the best possible taste!
ReplyDeleteLet 'lurid' be your watchword!
It's gorgeous and even before I had seen your second photo, I could imagine it filled with cupcakes. Yum!!
ReplyDeleteWAHOO! Not just a glorious cake stand and cakes, but am I seeing mini eggs too??????? :O)
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel good then three cheers for that! (makes me happy too!)
ReplyDeleteYou are now so ready for Valentine's Day. That cake stand is a great find, and is bound to bring smiles to many folks over the years to come.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Not sure it qualifies as kitsch but it made me smile!
ReplyDeletexxx
Not kitsch at all but a very pretty Cranberry-Glass dish that I would be proud to own.
ReplyDeleteThe cup cakes look good too!
They were made for each other ... nought wrong with lurid ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh its luverly ,...love Jan xx
ReplyDeleteFavourite colourr of all time - I'm consumed with envy!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty and yummy cakes too!
ReplyDeleteAh - ha! Its a Paperchase cake stand & very delightful it is too. Mind you, I am biased as I have two of them... I even used them as temporary Christmas decorations this year, with big fat pillar candles on them....
ReplyDeleteFallen in here from Judes - Its very nice too meet you.
Love Lydia xx
I love it and I don't cook although I thought you had given up :-) The cakes look good as well.
ReplyDeleteI love it Gina! And what a bargain price too.

ReplyDeleteone of my favourite colours - the cakes look scrummy!!
ReplyDeletexxxx
I think it's fantastic - what a wonderful find! Your cakes look scrummy too. x
ReplyDeleteI think it's perfect!!! And would have snapped it up too...
ReplyDeleteI have 6 old glass cake stands (but none of them coloured glass!!!) and I never leave one behind if I see them in a shop
Technicolour brilliance! I would have as many cake stands in as many hues as possible, given limitless storage space and cash. There is no such thing as a 'too' anything cake stand in my book. Larger than life is sort of the point!
ReplyDeleteNope. It's not tacky. It's absolutely BRILLIANT! I love it! Lucy xxx
ReplyDeleteWhere else could you possibly display those cup cakes to perfection?
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend
Carolyn ♥
Love it! Vibrant, uplifting colour. And perfect for those cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteMmmm...didn't I read somewhere about some pink tights too? I like the idea of dressing to tone with your cake stand!
ReplyDeleteI love this - it's not garish, it's beautiful.
