Tickled Pink!

I'm quite sure that a lurid pink cake stand might not be considered the best possible taste but I couldn't resist it... especially at the princely sum of £1.60. And I was rather hoping it was so awful it might be considered kitsch.

But frankly, I don't care because where else could I sit my lurid pink cupcakes?

And I feel tickled pink every time I look at it!

  1. I don't think it's awful at all! Cath Kidston sells those for a fortune at a time!

I proudly brought home my latest charity shop find - a little rose printed china tray for my makeup in the bathroom and Rupert laughed at it and siad it was granny-ish. I took great pleasure in telling him I was completely on trend and he should just be grateful I'd paid £2.50 instead of £20!

  2. Tacky??? Whatever do you mean, I've got one in my lounge with my felt chocolates on. And every thing I do is in the best possible taste!
    Let 'lurid' be your watchword!

  25. Technicolour brilliance! I would have as many cake stands in as many hues as possible, given limitless storage space and cash. There is no such thing as a 'too' anything cake stand in my book. Larger than life is sort of the point!
