Friday Evening...

I thought I would make a sponge cake to enjoy with our afternoon tea over the weekend.

This was what remained on Saturday morning! And it wasn't me.....

  6. Oh! Some little mice arrived perhaps. They're quite dextrous with the knife aren't they? Not bad for teeny tiny paws.

  10. Of course it wasn't you. I seem to remember we're cut from the same cloth*. A slice of cucumber beats a slice of sponge any day.

(* These days it's heavy weight 150cm wide furnishing fabric in my particular case, but don't tell anyone else: perhaps I should lay off the cucumber)
