Followed by Chocolate Guinness cake
(from "Feast" by Nigella Lawson)
Looks delicious! Happy St Patrick's Day!
I'm curious to know what the cake tastes like! Isn't if funny how blogland opens you up to all sorts of traditions and celebrations that you wouldn't normally think of - even though Mr Locket's grandparents came from Ireland we never think about St Patrick's Day!Lucy x
beef stew and dumplings. YUM!
I have Irish roots, and that cake looks fabulous. My Grandad was a great believer in the medicinal properties of Guinness. Unfortunately he sometimes had too much medicine, bless him.x
Happy St Patrick's Day - hope you enjoyed the food! Becky x
I want to know how you aren't the size of a huge great spud when you are always making these yummy looking cakes. I only have to sniff a cake and its 3lbs on.x
Hang on, I thought you were veggie?!I made Guinness cake years ago. Yum!
That stew looks just mouthwatering Gina. Cake too? Mmm I'm half Irish but have never celebrated St Patrick's day, although myself and the little ones did have a lovely little jog along to the music on WMK yesterday.
Ooooh Yummy! I hope it was a good one!!!
It will never cease to amaze me how come you stay so slim! :)
Washed down with a pint of the black stuff?!!
have never heard of that cake before - but it looks scrumptious!xxx
Happy St Patrick's day to you too. What a lovely meal, but did you have to show those lovely photos when I have just been to Weight Watchers this morning? :))
Yum yum! You just can't beat a good dinner like that! Carolyn
