    I'm curious to know what the cake tastes like! Isn't if funny how blogland opens you up to all sorts of traditions and celebrations that you wouldn't normally think of - even though Mr Locket's grandparents came from Ireland we never think about St Patrick's Day!

    I have Irish roots, and that cake looks fabulous. My Grandad was a great believer in the medicinal properties of Guinness. Unfortunately he sometimes had too much medicine, bless him.

    That stew looks just mouthwatering Gina. Cake too? Mmm I'm half Irish but have never celebrated St Patrick's day, although myself and the little ones did have a lovely little jog along to the music on WMK yesterday.
