A Perfect Combination!

Peaches and cream... tomato and basil.... Some food combinations are just meant to go together. Lime and blueberries are such a combination, so when I saw them combined in a cake, I just knew it had to work. I'm a great fan of lemon drizzle cake...

But I think this lime and blueberry drizzle dream cake has replaced it in the favourite stakes. The recipe is by Lorraine Pascale and features in the March edition of Sainsbury's Magazine, although you can find the recipe here.

Stewart said he like the chopped chive garnish on the top... which is why we don't let him cook!

I can feel those pounds piling back on!

  2. Now that looks wonderful! There's one for my recipe folder. I made lemon cake today but was so full from dinner I couldn't even manage a slice!

  3. Looks and sounds scrummy. Why does cake have to be fattening?! I've just been very irresponsible and bought a cookery book of National Trust teatime treats.

Do you have the recipe for this. Blueberries are my favourite and I have been able to convert Sophie to them as well.

Oh, Gina - that looks SO good. But I too am trying hard to keep the pounds off! Yesterday George & I were out (at the Foundling Museum) and had afternoon tea - one piece of cake and two forks !
    Isn't it sad....
