I've been good since early January:
No biscuits and no cake
(Weightwatcher's country slice is NOT a cake...
it is thin air masquarading as cake)
(I do like a little bit of butter to my bread!*)
But it has paid off and I have lost the 10lb
that mysteriously attached to my middle during 2010.
And you will be relieved to know I can do up my trousers again
So I thought I would celebrate...
with cake!
That way I can repeat the process all over again next January!

* The King's Breakfast A. A. Milne
I got to 8lb then fell over a slice of chocolate cheesecake. Climbing back on the wagon again ...
ReplyDeletecongrats on dropping the weight. I think I need to do this. I know I need to do this. I know I will never be thin but I would be happier to drop a jeans size.
ReplyDeletewell done Gina. doesn't it make you feel good?
ReplyDeleteHurray for cake! What's that hiding inside your muffins?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you did it (no cheese? no butter??!) but well done you!
ReplyDeleteCelebrating in style. I haven't eaten any cakes for ages but my weight isn't coming off. I shall wait until the summer and then it will drop off, might just make some cakes in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteWell done on having such great discipline in the time of the year when you most need cake and nice foods. I have Lent to 'look forward to' for that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your treat! x
Well done Gina. Love the cakestand and the cakes look even better. I must learn some control and adjust my diet but I need it to be a bit warmer before I start.
ReplyDeleteWell done you!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't give up chocolate, I've tried but I can't!

You make it sound so painless - are you sure it wasn't torture?
ReplyDeleteWell done!
I feel such a failure............ going to have to raid the fridge now...........
ReplyDelete(congratulations on your weightloss!)
Congratulations on the weight loss, you've done very well to lose that amount in such a short time.
ReplyDeleteMy mother was a weightwatcher when I was a child and I remember so clearly her weighing out her food before the rest got shared out amongst the family. She was the one who got the most funnily enough!
Your cakes look scrumptious, how many have you eaten I wonder?
Hahaha -- you diet the same way I do. It always kills me to diet during the best soup and stew months, but it's worth it for the CAKES the rest of the year LOL! Congrats on another successful year!
ReplyDeleteDelicious looking cake. yum! Jane x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - well done - but those cakes look delicious - too good to give up!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done! Now you know what your weakneses are. The problem is you bake such lovely cakes, how can you not be tempted.
ReplyDeleteWell done Gina - you have been so good, and it seems (at this end) to have been such a quick process.
ReplyDeleteMust say I have missed your regular cooking posts ;)
And i have missed a heap of other wondersous post since my internet has hated me these last three weeks !
Off to surf some more of your projects :)
Nice cakes I could just eat eat one right now.
ReplyDeleteBravo Gina!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I cannot resist cake. I'd rather eat cake than eat a meal.
Congratulations Gina - I wish I had the will power to lose weight but I guess it's just not a top priority for me at the moment. When the time is right I'm sure I'll be able to be good again! Lucy x
ReplyDeleteWell done, you must be so pleased, 10lb is excellent.
ReplyDeleteHooray hooray! I've managed 8 lbs since the start of the year and am now back in the 'ideal' zone of the Wii. Not quite as strict as you, just more veggies, smaller portions and some extra walking. I have a little way to go still, but I'm feeling v. proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteIt's a never-ending battle, isn't it! Well Done You! The occasional 'treat' is necessary - I find it hard to keep them to occasional tho!
ReplyDeletewell done you - those cakes certainly look worth the wait!!!
