Routines

There is a rhythm and routine to Sundays during the winter. After walking the dog, I come home and bake bread.

This week:
Multiseed rolls

I then make a batch of soup

This week:
Curried parsnip and apple with parsnip crisps.

And finally I bake cake

This week:
Blueberry muffins

And there is a warm comfort to this winter routine. Plus of course, there is enough left over that it means there is something good for lunch on Monday too.

It all looks very tasty!. I love Sunday's when I have time to do lots of cooking, unfortunately they are quite rare.

I like your routine, it's a good one. My Sunday routine is a few pints at the pub a big mac and a couple of games of bingo. Hahaha!!!! You know I'm joking ;-)

Hmmmm, you are taking me back in time with this post.

Back in the 1970's, I always baked bread on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, and really had got the hang of kneading dough.

Been so long now, and there is such a variety of fabulous bread available in New York, I don't bake bread anymore.

Still...it was great fun, and nothing like the scent of those loaves in the oven. xo

Oh what a lovely routine - made my mouth water! Especially bearing in mind we have all this white stuff around so warm soup and homemade bread yummy!! I can use my breadmaker!!

i can tell your household will suffer through winter - what a feast!

Like the look of parsnip soup - might have a go at growing them this year. this is great I can plant ahead to match your great menu ideas :)
