This is actually one of Stewart's birthday presents...
Well, no... not actually me getting a massage (I was a lot more relaxed than I look... he was very good)... but an evening out away from the messy house and the bridesmaids dresses.
There was Pimms
See... I'm not the only one enjoying myself.
There were free samples
(wine, coffee, chilli sauces and ice lollies!!!)
Because we were here on Hampstead Heath at Kenwood House...
to see...
BLONDIE!
We are both fans from way back in 1975
and we weren't disappointed.
They were fantastic!
And although Debbie Harry might not be as sprightly as she once was, she was still pretty amazing! I hope I look that good when I'm 65!
And so now I'm feeling refreshed and ready to tackle another day of satin.
I'm determined they will be finished tonight.
Wow! She's 65?!?! That's amazing - she looks incredible! I still love Blondie - and your whole evening sounds wonderful - especially the Pimms in the sunshine! Lucyx
ReplyDeleteShe looks A M A Z I N G! Now stop reading this and get stitching...........
ReplyDeleteStewart looks very happy and relaxed.
ReplyDeleteBlondie looks great.
Good luck with the dresses, I think you have worked wonders.
Gosh I never thought Blondie would be 65 - where do the years go to - looks like you had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. A great way to relax. Good luck with finishing the dresses.
ReplyDeletelooks like you had a fab time - and the perfect weather for it!
ReplyDeletei can't believe she's 65!!! I think there may have been a little help there, but, heck, why not!!! Pimms, mmmm, my very favourite tipple!!!xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great escape! I hope things get a bit easier now.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a chance to take a break from the dresses Gina. Been visiting a few exhibitions myself and found them to be so inspiring x
ReplyDeleteOh how fabulous! I love Blondie. But I can't believe Debbie Harry is 65!
ReplyDeleteK x
I saw Blondie a few years ago when she was playing at Guilfest. She was indeed AMAZING! I found it quite surreal to hear her voice "in person" - it is even better than records, and she hasn't lost a bit of it! The last song we saw was "Union City Blue" the stage was lit in electric blue, her singing was awsome .. AMAZING!! Sigh .... a very good memory. Replaying your Blondie records at home and remembering the gig, is sure to get you through the rest of the bridesmaid dress chore (as it seems to have turned into ).

I can't believe Debbie Harry is 65! I thought she was younger than me but good for her to still be performing so well. What a great evening for you and Pimms as well :o) Hope you get the job done today.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else I cant believe she's 65.

ReplyDeleteOh, lovely - I've been to concerts at Kenwood House and it is a super venue. Looks as though you had lovely weather too. I HAVE been known to spend an evening there under a bin bag....
Sounds like a fantastic time out! I'd like to look that good at 65 too...but since I've never looked that good, I'm thinking there's not much hope!!!
