A Grand Day Out

You might think I went to London...

to see the Elephant Parade...

or possibly to see the Quilt exhibition again...

and although I did both of those things, the real reason I went to London was to meet some friends.

Friends, who although I had never met either of them before, felt like dear old friends (and I use the word "old" to mean familiar as both were clearly MUCH younger than me!)

And as we laughed and chatted it didn't feel at all like we had never met before... but then that is one of the amazing things about blogging!

Alice and Kristina... I had such a lovely day. Thank you!

Sounds like a nice time was had by all. The elephants are great. There was a similar exhibition in Norwich a few years ago. They had been placed all around the city and we walked for miles trying to find as many as possible, and all because Steph collects elephants.

Those elephants are lovely, glad you had a super day out. Went to Uppingham yesterday and they are going to have hippopotamus's and they had one drapped in a quilt to advertise the quilt show it looked great.

I love the dandelion elephant too.... have been looking at the heads on them in my garden and considering illustrating them against a blue background. How fascinating to have met fellow bloggers.... and in London too! How exciting!

I'm going to London on Friday and I will be elephant spotting too. You got some really good pics and managed not to snap any tourists hanging off them!

Hi Gina The elephants were great, glad you posted photos for all to see. I remember Stuart mentioning them last weekend and I would not have seen them otherwise. I can't believe all that you have done in a week.
