I was all ready to write a post last night but when I tried to upload my pictures the little icon/button that says 'browse' allowing me to search my computer for pictures has disappeared. Try as I might I cannot find it anywhere... is it just me?
This morning it is still not there and blogging without pictures is just not my style. There was still an option to uplaod from Picasa or my phone (Ha! Have you seen my phone... it's an antique) but I don't want to do that. I want to browse my laptop where I store my photos! If it doesn't come back soon I could be forced to abandon this space and go elsewhere. Blogger... be warned!
Oh dear, not a great start for your New Year blogging.........hope your button comes back soon.........you could always try going into your template and click on remove all modifications, which would hopefully put the original template back into place, the only problem with this is you would have to redesign your blog from scratch again.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Kim
How odd. I have just checked my blog and I still have the option to upload pictures from my computer on there - at least for now!
ReplyDeleteI feel panic rising! I use one of my blogs to upload pictures of work I have done for an online course so that my tutor can see them. I am not at all au fait with all the whims of Blogger and how to overcome them. How frustrating for you - I do hope you find a solution soon. I have noticed that sometimes things just return to normal after a day or two.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Gina, computers are only wonderful when they behave. Sorry I can't give you a solution not using blogger myself. Our laptop crashed this week and is in the process of being sorted, I had to blog using the iPad, now that was a sharp learning curve, it took me all evening!!!
ReplyDeleteJust focus on pre-spring and have a great weekend!! :)

My 'search files' button is still there. I had a problem a month or so ago trying to upload pictures - it said I had used my storage but it seemed to resolve itself on its own after some time.
ReplyDeleteAnnoying isn't it? I'm the same, I don't feel like blogging without pictures but me and my camera seem to have fallen out!
I'm on Blogger but mostly these days I post using Windows Live Writer (free download) - I find it much less frustrating!
ReplyDeleteA chill just ran down my spine ...
ReplyDeleteClear your cache, shut down your computer and start it up again. Keep fingers firmly crossed that it comes back.
ReplyDeleteOoh - look at me - I could practically be an IT professional!

ReplyDeleteHave just checked here and it's still on mine. Not sure what to suggest except don't panic!
ReplyDeleteJust realised that mine doesn't say 'browse' though, it says 'choose files' and that takes me to my computer. Dont know if it's always said that, or if it used to say 'browse'. I can send you a screenshot if it would help?
ReplyDeleteThis is happening on IE-9 today. You can upload from the html mode. Once the pictures are uploaded, switch to Compose and you will see the pictures and the menu will be the same if you click the picture to size and position it.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is not happening with Chrome or Firefox, so using one of those browsers will resolve the issue as well.3

(from google help)
it works as I was having the same problem!!
Hello Gina I've just checked and mine is the same! No option to browse and upload from computer. I googled it and it seems we are not alone and it is a problem if you use Internet Explorer rather than one of the other browsers. Here is the link that I found
