New Shoes

There hasn't been much by way of new work or creativity round here of late.

Nothing much new since the beginning of June if I'm going to be perfectly honest.

But I'm taking one day at a time and hope that when I'm ready there will be new ideas and new work.

Meanwhile, I've been back to work this week with some teaching and making a couple of things for an exhibition that opens next week.

A couple of pairs of paper shoes made entirely from recycled paper, card, lace, trims and buttons.

You can see them at
Haddenham Galleries near Ely

  2. Gina, they are beautiful. I think you should copyright the design, then they could be Patent shoes! Xx

  5. I would say that there has been huge creativity - the shoes are exquisite and so beautiful. Visitors to the exhibition will just love them.
If only all recycling could look as lovely.

  6. My Marie Antoinette shoes hang precariously over the beaded edge of my office notice board so I see them daily and can attest to your cobbling skills (that sounds vaguely rude but you know what I mean....)There's been a lot on your plate recently so no wonder creativity has stalled. With your track record I know an idea or a new direction is only just percolating under the surface. It will come soon and then watch out! x

  7. Wow! I just love the paper shoes, Gina! They are beautiful and it is a great idea for recyling and creating at the same time.

  8. What a beautiful way to take fairy steps on your road back to creativity Gina. These fulfil all my childhood fantasies of dancing princesses.

  12. Those slippers are witty and beautiful, Gina. I completely scoff at your suggestion that you have not recently been creative. Really!
