Frivolity

In the absence of any serious meaningful or conceptual art going on around here at the moment, I bring you frivolity instead. My days are being spent stitching vicars...

Embroidering button babes to replenish my diminishing stock (they have been very popular of late)

and baking cakes, because thousands of miles away on the other side of the world my boy has just celebrated his 22nd birthday...

Happy birthday Joe... I think I can safely say, in the nicest possible way, the most frivolous of my four sons!  I miss you!

I love the vicar tea cozy...what a charming way to serve tea!

My 23 year old daughter saw the pictures and says he's very cute....your son, not the monkey.

Nothing like stitching up a vicar! I've been rather lax in keeping up with blogs over the last few busy weeks so I've only just learned the awful news about your degree. Talk about having the rug pulled out from under your feet. Many commiserations, and I do hope the powers that be can sort out an alternative for you, Penny xxx

Gina, just managing to catch up on my favourite blogs and read your bolt-from-the-blue news - I do hope you'll get some solid news soon about the future of your degree course.

Love the vicars and Button Babes, and Happy Birthday to Joe. He looks as if he's found a friend! Four sons? I have four daughters but they are all far too old for your sons - in fact two of them have sons of their own, the same age as Joe.

I love the fact that you still bake a cake - even though he's the other side of the world. Happy Birthday to Joe x

Gina, I'm so sorry to read about your degree and I can completely understand how you must feel all at sea. I hope something positive is sorted soon so that you can continue with all of the creative delights that you share with us and have a degree to show for it all. Glad to see that you're keeping your fingers busy in the meantime - those vicar teacosies are wonderful! Happy Birthday to Joe - it must be hard to have him so very far away. Hope you get some good news soon, J x
