That involved opening a very large packet of mini-eggs...
Plus a day outside in the sunshine... things don't seem so bad.
I leave you with happy Easter greetings and a photo of the telephone box in our village. No longer in use for making phone calls it has become something of a feature. At halloween a witch found her way inside, at Christmas Santa managed to get stuck down it's chimney and now a very big bird seems to have nested...
Enjoy your weekend!
Chocolate usually does the trick and those cup cakes look scrummy. It must be impossible to get a really high mark for a module you dislike. I love the phone box - there is one near us fitted with shelves on which villagers put their unwanted books for anyone to read. So much more fun than just leaving them to disintegrate.
ReplyDeleteThink 76% is fantastic. Trouble is you set your own target and if you're not enjoying it then it becomes really hard. Chocolate is definitely the cure. ( it cures nearly everything including broken arms). Enjoy the weather, forget module and have a great rest of weekend. Xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely difficult to motivate yourself to achieve greatness(!) if you're not enjoying the module Gina. Still... a very good mark if you didn't enjoy it. You need to eat a couple of those luscious cakes. I love the way phone boxes have different uses. There's a resuscitation kit as well as mini library in my friend's local village.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your other bloggy friends - 76% is a great mark and very well deserved too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your cakes - they look yumcious!
Have a lovely Easter! xx
As far as I'm concerned 76% is genius level. Well done!
ReplyDeletePerfect little cakes too - I count 18 eggs, so where are the rest, hmmmmm? ;0)
Love the phone box with slightly scary sized bird (laying those eggs would make your eyes water). What a fun addition to your village.
Happy Easter, Gina.

76% for a module you didn't like is outstanding especially when you consider that I just gave up on the course I was struggling with :-( The cup cakes look very tempting, especially with the mini eggs on top. Have a lovely Easter weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteCup cakes would cheer up most people! Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteSorry you were disappointed but 76% is pretty darn good and it is hard to get motivated if you aren't enjoying something. Glad chocy cakes, sunshine and a chick in a telephone box lifted your spirits :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you are being much too hard on yourself - as everyone else has said 76% is still pretty good, and it was for the bit you always knew you didn't like! You'll be back at top of the class in the next module.
ReplyDeleteLove the quirky phone box - but don't tell anyone, it's bound to contravene some European Health and Safety laws x
I am sorry you're disappointed - of course it is a good mark but I know how it feels if you were hoping for (and expecting?) something more. We're our own worst critics, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteWhen we came to make out easter nests I discovered small fingers had already got into the packet so each nest had only a single mini egg. Poor birdies!
I know how disappointing it can feel when you don't get what you had hoped for or expected but really Gina that is an excellent mark!
ReplyDeleteNothing like chocolate to lift the spirits I find and no better time of year for chocolate than Easter.
Have a wonderful weekend. :)

Gina, I am thinking about how many folks you have encouraged to make their own creativity soar. Don't bother about that "grade."
ReplyDeleteOn to the next module. And your baking was a wonderful change of topic.
I love that phone box. In a way it reminds me of an apartment across the street from my apartment building. A lady who lives on the second floor has a vintagy pink plastic flamingo affixed to her windowbox. This flamingo gets a new costume for each important holiday. Santa hat at Christmas, green togs for St Pat's, and currently the flamingo is wearing a fetching Easter bonnet.
Let's toast creativity and free spirits!
Happy Easter. xo
hey hey hey!!! Don't knock 76%, that's really good - I was always happy to get over 70 from mu OU tutors many moons ago. BUT all this yummy cooked goodness you keep posting, it's just too tempting!
ReplyDeleteThere's a phone box graveyard on the way into London, just can't remember where - this is a much better idea ;-)
Gina,
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful that so many of your blog followers have given you such support for your module results but somehow I doubt they will assuage your desire to bounce back in the next module. Your own innate, internal competitiveness will do that I suspect but in the meantime, chocolate is always a good option! There just had to be cake didn't there..... Lesley x PS For what it's worth I think you did good too... x
I could just eat one of those...
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good dose of chocolate to restore those spirits! Love Lesley
ReplyDeleteIn a little while all that will matter is that you passed you won't remember the mark. Think back to your O and A levels.A pass is a pass very well done.
ReplyDelete76% is still very good for something you didn't enjoy! I've just spent three fruitless days trying to dye endless numbers of fabric squares and it took a chinese takeaway, half a (free) bottle of champagne, half a pack of mini eggs and several homemade hot cross buns to make me feel better...
ReplyDelete76% is a First/Distinction! Don't be too hard on yourself - we all do some things better than others, anyway. Chocolate cake will go a long way to making anyone feel better, I am sure!
ReplyDeletePomona x
76%? Blimey, I'd bake me a whole cake if I acheived that score! Those cakes do look scrumpcious. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeletehey, you shouldn't feel bad for a 76%!!!!
ReplyDelete(that postbox is so funny)
76% is a great mark! You must have been getting amazing marks in your other modules!! Love your phone box! Lucy xx
ReplyDelete76% is a highly respectable mark...... you will bounce back I am sure. I just LOVE the phone box and would run riot with ideas for it........ what FUN! :o)))))))))))) (And only through blogging do I get to see these things!)
ReplyDeleteBaking makes everything better. Hope you had a happy Easter1
ReplyDeleteI love the phone box - just brilliant! Congrats on your results, look good to me!!! Any cakes left?
ReplyDeletexxx
What a fun way to use those telephone boxes! Your cupcakes look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh Gina! you are such a perfectionist! You make me smile, only full marks will do.
ReplyDeleteBlimey missus I'd be thrilled with 76%! But you are quite right cake and day in sunshine best possible cure for just about anything in my book!...(Mind you I have eaten my own bodyweight in mini eggs lately so may give them a break...for a while!)
ReplyDeleteFound you on Facebook too! x;0)
(Love the phone box installations!)
Gina, Val said it perfectly - we are our own worst critics and I'm glad you found a delicious way to lift your spirits!
