A day out with
Gill at The Country Living Spring Fair yesterday resulted in one or two necessary purchases - after all, who could resist polka dot cupcake cases...
With matching red glitter.
I can see that I'll be needing to return to
Holly Cupcakes for more supplies in future.
It was also a perfect excuse to play at being a domestic goddess in my beautiful new
apron. Don't you just love that fabric!
Of course the illusion of domesticity is ruined slightly by my not wearing my best frock, high heels and lipstick while I baked... not quite sure pyjama pants and woolly socks create the same image.
There were other purchases made and
one or
two other blogging friends (plus a big sister) to meet but that will have to wait for another day... if you'll excuse me I'm off to polish my taps...
Just loving that fabric the apron is made from..... the detail! I want some edible glitter too.......
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day out, Domestic Goddess..........
That apron has some disturbing aspects to it...
ReplyDeleteI know which stall you were at, because I was there not 5 hours ago squeaking at the baking supplies! Funnily enough I was underwhelmed by the rest of the fair but that cupcakes stall - wow!
ReplyDeleteloving those jammies and the apron - cupcakes look scrummy too!
ReplyDeletexxx
well I think the socks and jammies enhance the look!!!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the apron AND the socks. I have a scarf that looks like those socks. Do yours have pompoms around the edge?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you all had a lovely time meeting up. Wasn't envious AT ALL!
love the cup cakes! now down to that fabric ~ is that what women are meant to do :) you look gorgeous ~ Judy
ReplyDeleteLove the pyjama trousers and socks but am seriously worried by the design on your pinafore.
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy the CL Fair? A friend of mine went and was very disappointed with what was on show.
Very glam! Just the look I go for myself ;o)
ReplyDeleteI think the pants and socks go perfectly with the apron! If you keep posting delicious food I shall have to take you off my list of favourite blogs - you make me want to eat when I shouldn't, but oh my, those cupcakes look good.
ReplyDeleteHi Gina! 'Twas lovely to see you yesterday and to meet that fabby apron in person! Can't believe you've baked those cupcakes so quickly! Locket xxx
ReplyDeleteThe pants definitely enhance the apron.
ReplyDeleteOooh Yummy! LOVE that apron. And I'm soooo envious that you had a get-together with the girls -- I hope you all had a fantastic time!

ReplyDeletePerfect fabric for an apron!
ReplyDeleteOoooh glittery cupcakes - and adore the pinny!
ReplyDeleteOh the glitter, the glitter thrills me to bits. Love the apron too of course, but the glitter....
ReplyDeleteI think your pinny with pjs and socks look is quite the thing. I've seen that kind of malarkey in Toast catalogues many a time. You look wonderful, and so does the pinny, oh and the nosh x
ReplyDeleteThe pinny looks very fetching, (I'm glad I encouraged you to buy it!) and the cupcakes look fab!
ReplyDeleteLove that apron.
ReplyDeleteThe apron is gorgeous - women didn't really dress like that in the kitchen, surely?! x
