Mighty Fine Buns!

Feeling a little sad at missing the wonderful bloggy picnic, I felt the need for some restorative baking this morning.

This also required some pretty serious restorative scoffing!

Wishing you all a restful and happy Easter.

Aha - excellent bakey therapy Gina. They look very yummy indeed. Happy Beaster and to quote Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, 'be still like vegetables' - have a lovely rest!

Ooo! Promise to make such loverly looking H.C.B.s for the next bloggy picnic!

BTW please don't make that poor Lindt rabbit fear for its life for a protracted period of time like that Monkee Maker woman did last year.

As it would be childish to leave a comment simply saying "nice buns" I'll say it's a shame you couldn't make it and I hope your eye is better!

Well, as we had a mammoth 7 and a half hour journey home last night I reckon I could do with some restorative scoffing of those fabulous looking hot cross buns too!

We really missed you but totally understand why you couldn't make it - we'll just have to do it again very soon!

Those HCBs look lovely - much better than the ones we are eating from Morrisons. I will have to make my own next year.

So sorry to hear that you have not been well. I hope that you prescribed yourself chocolate therapy and managed to take the medicine without too many side effects.

wow these do look like mighty fine buns. Were they easy to make? I'm feeling and urge to bake, but as i just got back from a week away (and therefore need more rest somehow?) , a simple recipe would be most appealing!
