After yesterday's minor disappointment I took a friend's advice to down my G & T and fire up the Etsy shop.
There you will find tea and cake, vicars and monsters... all mixed up together.
Six new items listed so far and more to follow if I get my act together
Perfect gift shopping if you are one of those people who are terribly organised for ... well you know what... I don't want to mention it in August.
And a little bonus... if you are a newsletter subscriber (you'll find the link on my side bar) I'll be offering a small discount only available to subscribers.
So... what are you waiting for...
Christmas? (oops... now you've made me say it)
Sorry to hear the craft fair wasn't a good one. You never can tell. Hope your lovely "makes" sell well on Etsy for you. x Jo
ReplyDeleteOh, you were doing so well, not to mention the "C" word and then you fell off of the wagon. Now "I" need a G&T!!!! Sorry the craft fair didn't pan out. Hoping for better Luck with the Etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteOh Gina, how could you? Go wash your mouth out with chocolate as a penance. Sitting here in glorious sunshine and I don't want to hear the C word for a month or two!
ReplyDeleteI have actually seen "C" cards for sale - I had to run out of the shop! Every success to your Etsy shop Gina.
ReplyDeleteEnough with the C word already! ;)
ReplyDeleteAwe Gina, you were doing so well and then you mentioned it!!!
ReplyDeleteTea, cake, vicars and monsters are quite a combination, aren't they! ;)

Your "More tea vicar" tea-cosy made me smile. My hubby often says that when he asks me if I want another cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame your stall did not sell so well - surely the etsy stall will be a great success, especially with that 'C' day getting far too close! Your stuff is all gorgeous. Cheers
ReplyDeleteKnow where you're coming from Gina, as I intend to restock too, but you have beaten me to it. Today someone in the retail business mentioned that 'C' starts in June when it comes to ordering stock! Hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteSorry that the craft fair wasn't more inspiring Gina - you're right that the negative comments are the ones that stick in your mind. I always comfort myself with the though that people who say such things don't have a creative bone in their body or they'd appreciate the time, effort and skill that goes into creating something and you'd hear a tone of amazement in their "have you seen the price for this" as they marveled at the reasonable price for such a finely handmade object. Still, I'm glad you invested in gin and tonic with your profits and I am also glad that you restocked your etsy shop because I now have me a new tea cosy - though I suspect Toby will be enjoying wearing it as a hat too!
ReplyDeleteSorry the fair wasn't a good one, but hey, a restocked Etsy shop is not to be sniffed at. At least there you know you are selling to an audience who get handmade.
ReplyDeleteYou do such wonderful work! Love the monsters & the "tea" stitchery. I'm not terribly organized, so I would never think of "C" until well into December!! Wendy
