Elementary....

Tired of feeling cold we took ourselves out last night to see this...

Not a film for the purists but a couple of hours of wonderful escapism far away from washing machines and boilers!
  • A totally implausible plot...
  • A mixture of satire, comedy and thriller...
  • A dynamic new Holmes portrayed as never before...
  • Fabulous sets of Victorian London...
  • Even a touch of romance...

I thought it was impossible not to be totally swept away... fabulous!

and Sherlock Holmes has never been so sexy!

Just catching up on everyone's blogs. Poor you re heating and washing machine troubles. Still, it has to be said, without those troubles I wouldn't have been able to sit leering at the picture of Sherlock! I nearly dropped my mince pie! :O)

Just a thimbleful....
I wanted to go to the cinema today - family all left today, DD1 back to Market Drayton & DD2 to Holland. It is raining and cold and I've piles of washing and tidying and I just wanted to walk out and leave it all! But George just wanted to flop!
Maybe tomorrow! It looks great.

Happy New Year to you all, love M

We were going tomorrow afternoon to see it, but our boiler is due to be fixed so we'll have to go another day!
Hope your boiler problem is sorted out soon, it's not nice being cold is it, how did we manage before central heating? It makes you appreciate it doesn't it!

I CAN'T WAIT to see this--I was infatuated with a little movie called "Young Sherlock Holmes" that came out in the 80s when I was a pre-teen. I had my first swoon over the good Dr!

He is rather tasty - would he pose for your life drawing class? Glad you could forget your troubles for a while and relax.

We saw it too, a few days ago. I still can't decide whether I liked it or not. I loved the escapism part of it but, it's ,Sherlock Holmes! The other half of me thought there were a few too many stuntmen for Sherlock Holmes LOL. Hard not to like it with that cast though!

Happy New Year!!!
