Spring Sunshine

What a delightful bank holiday weekend.
I had to work on Saturday but have enjoyed the sunshine over the past two days and we have been busy working in the garden.

Vegetable beds have been dug out, borders weeded, seeds sown and pots planted up for the patio...

I think I deserved this little tipple this evening!
The long wait for some Spring sunshine and warmth has made it all the more delightful!

  4. I skipped the two days of gardening and opened the bottle anyway... Extreme gardening can result in injuries to the cork operating mechanism and that would never do....

  5. The sunshine is doing us all so much good, nearly as good as your little tipple! x

  9. Our Monday looked much the same - I'll wager there will be quite a few tanned faces and sore backs from gardening this morning!

  10. Just what we've all been waiting for and obligingly on time for the Bank Holiday. I did a bit too much gardening early in the week. I think my digging days are over, but the borders are so compacted and a trowel is not up to the job.

  11. It was a lovely weekend - your garden looks nice and neat and tidy - and to have colour coming back is great. The wine was a good idea.

  12. Is that Osteospermum? What a glorious colour. We have been out and about the last two days and had such a lot of fun, I wish the sun would stay a little longer.

  13. Lovely shot of your garden, Gina. Spring took a long while to come for us, too, but we've enjoyed the last 6 days of warmth and sunshine....at least until the weekend when it's predicted rain and cold....
