And neither do I! Our new boiler was due to come at 9am today. Delayed by the weather, it arrived at 4pm - too late to do anything with it, so it's sitting in it's box in the garage. Looks like another night for wrapping up warm in front of the fire.
... maybe tomorrow?
Thinking of you and hoping it gets sorted tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSnuggle up there Missus. fingers crossed it all gets sorted tomorrow (although obviously not crossed for too long. We don't want them getting frozen together!)
ReplyDeletepoor you - hope you are all nice and toasty tomorrow - my chickens hate this weather - they didn't come out from their henhouse until midmorning!!! and then spent the rest of the day hiding in one of the stables!!!

Argh, it's really not the right time to be without a boiler! Hope your fire is doing the job.
ReplyDeleteMy father kept hens when I was a girl and they didn't know what to make of snow. Why do boilers always pick the coldest weather to break down? Your crochet blanket and stripey socks look very cosy but I hope you wont need them much longer.
ReplyDeletebrrrr. I hope you get the new boiler in soon. apparently this cold snap will be lasting for the next 2-3 weeks.

ReplyDeleteOur chickens are wusses too.................. So is our cat, I swear his bladder is going to burst if he doesn't go out soon........... fingers crossed that you get that boiler in tomorrow......
ReplyDeletePoor chucks! Hope you get the boiler in tomorrow. You look very cosy all snuggled up!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you have all those beautiful knits to snuggle up with! Good luck for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Poor hens! Best of luck with the boiler!
ReplyDeleteoh how frustrating. but i have to say that you sure do look cute and cozy. lovely colors
ReplyDeletebrrrrr! Love the blanket and the socks though :o)
ReplyDeleteGina...you poor so and so....you must be thoroughly and utterly fed up.
ReplyDeleteOh poor you. Why does one's boiler never pack up in the height of summer?
ReplyDeleteStay cosy and warm Gina!
ReplyDeleteMy hens have ventured over the snow and to their dismay is wasn't an endless void into white space!
Hope the new boiler is fitted and running smoothly very soon.

Oh now that's not funny. Hope it all gets fixed today Gina x
ReplyDeleteJust a thimbleful....
ReplyDeleteWell, Gina, YOU look very cosy snuggled up in your socks and blanket - but why haven't you knitted warm clothing for the egg producers? Shame on you! I see a knitting pattern coming on - hats for hens, or booties for bantams.
Hope you're snuggled up, and today IS the day.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your hens! Mine are most displeased too, but still laying, so they can't be that upset!
ReplyDeleteLove all that yarn there too, mmmmm!!
Oh my goodness, it must be just freezing, I hope it has been installed today, wishing you warm...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a serious case of the 'Big Slipper'.

ReplyDeleteWhat bad timing! I do hope that you're all keeping warm and cosy.
ReplyDeleteI do love your socks - they're so colourful and look just the right thing for this weather! x
Oh my goodness..if you can survive this weather without a boiler do you really need one?
ReplyDeleteI do love your chickens and am rather envious..in fact I have 'henvy'.
Be warm.
Our heating is making some terrible noises - and I don't have a fire to curl up in front of! Please can I come and share yours?
