We had a great workshop at Art and Stitch yesterday - very busy and productive. I took lots of close up photos of each individual book thinking I'd make a very arty looking collage... and they were all out of focus! So here are all the finished books plus a few in progress that the ladies made. Didn't they do well!
I got straight home, made an apple cake to take as a pud and then we got dressed up to go out to friends for a Burn's Supper...

ReplyDeleteRe the kilt "shot"..... was that as near as he would let you go with the camera? :O))))))))))))))))))
Joking apart, I LOVE to see a man in a kilt........
Fantastic books, maybe you could get directions for them into a mag (or WOW) some time, unless of course you want to trip on over to Australia.

Just a thimbleful...
ReplyDeleteBrought up as a true Angus girl I wore the kilt and tam o'shanter as a girl and still sport my silk Angus sash on special occasions. My brother wears the kilt, too, very dashing! Like the books.
Clever ladies as always, the books look great!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying a restful day and himself is now vertical.
The books all look beautiful - it must have been a lovely workshop. Love that immaculate kilt and that particular tartan. He must have had a good night!
ReplyDeleteThe ladies certainly did do well! Those books are lovely. It sounds like your Burns supper was very enjoyable too ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely little books there Gina - what fabulous results.
ReplyDeleteAre you jaded because of all the dancing Gina??
Looks like it was a productive day for you and your group. And scrolling back to an earlier post, I must say I really loved your painted silk tie - that would have been intense.

Nice work by the ladies, Gina. My husband the bagpiper is much in demand for Burns Suppers at the moment - we have to wait until Feb to have our own! Lovely to meet you at the EG and see all your beautiful work 'in the flesh'.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look up a Burn's Supper. The books look great. I envy you having a kilt-wearer in the house! My husband's family is Scotch-Irish but I can't talk him into it.
ReplyDeleteGina, you seem able to balance everything so well. It is fascinating to read about your teaching, your men (I too, love a man in a quilt), your cooking and your own art work. How on earth are you managing to fit in the degree work? I know that I am having a hard time with balance myself.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better! I can't decide whether to buy a haggis or not! though i guess it's too late now!! x
ReplyDeleteOh yes -- I forgot -- it is that time of year! I hope you're feeling better today. And, looks like the workshop was very successful!
ReplyDeleteGina it was a fabulous day tahnk you so much for your patience. Glad you enjoyed the Burns night
