Having seen pictures pop up on Pinterest etc. this year, I decided to make gingerbread reindeer cookies. I put them on sticks to sell at the market and they sold out!.
And yes, I'm sure the more observant amonst you will have noticed... they are made with a gingerbread man cookie cutter but he's upside down!
Very jolly. Is there a trick to getting them not to break on the stick? A thicker dough?
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was much thicker but gently pushed the stick through the dough before baking. It did show through on the back but they seemed to stay intact.
DeleteHa ha! Very clever. I love those. :)
ReplyDeleteThat was my reaction when I first saw a photo of them... so of course, it had to be done!
DeleteCharmingly festively lovely Gina x
ReplyDeletethe artistic eye sees possibilities in everything not just the obvious. Will never look at a gingerbread man now without seeing reindeer. Thanks for the new perspective
ReplyDeleteHow fascinating! I need to file this idea away for doing some time.
ReplyDeleteClever!
ReplyDeleteChildren will love these and what a clever alternative use of a biscuit cutter.
ReplyDeleteactually I didn't notice but what an absolutely brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a novel use for a gingerbread cutter - no wonder they all sold out!
