Having cleared out my wardrobe... I'm now attempting to fill it again!
Well, not exactly fill it but I've had the fabric to make a new Coco dress for at least a year, so thought it was about time I actually made it.
I don't know why I put it off because I cut it out one evening last week and had finished it by lunchtime the following day.
I was trying to do some arty looking shots but failed miserably so got Stewart to take a photo instead... and then edited out my knees! Not sure it's much better!
I may have made a dress but I'm no further on with the jigsaw... although we are still sticking to our healthy eating plan (I may have had a mouthful of Christmas cake this evening) and I've more energy than I've had in ages. So this new year is still looking good!
Nice frock!! I'm a bit wary of dress making these days as the pattern is never modelled by someone of my shape.
ReplyDeleteWhoops - did not finish the last comment and gremlins attacked. Anyway, was going to add this looks very good on you. Does it cover your knees or is that why they had to be edited out - too much knee flesh? (My knees are definitely best hidden!) Do you have an over locker? Sorry - too many questions. And well done with the healthy eating. I'm still finishing off the Christmas scraps.
ReplyDeleteGreat dress Gina...the pattern looks very versatile! Is it easy? I suspect that cutting it out one day and finishing it the next is down to the fact that you are very good at dressmaking!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress - beautiful colours and very on trend - it looks very comfortable to wear too. We have finished all our Christmas bits and are back to a reasonably healthy diet again, not that our Christmas eats were really unhealthy. More energy than ever?!! You'll be making twice as many cakes!

ReplyDeleteThe dress is lovely. I've got fabric for half a dozen garments if only I could get back to the sweing machine. We're eating leftovers from the Epiphany event we catered -shan't want pork terrine or chicken liver parfait again any time soon. Can't wait to get back to healthy eating. Even my 5:2 diet is looking appealing.
ReplyDeleteGina, I love that fabric, and the new dress looks so lovely on you! Somehow, I seem to have left my dress-wearing days behind. It's grand to see how dresses suit you so very well. xo
ReplyDeleteI remember that fabric. The dress looks good, and so do you - the healthy eating thing clearly agrees with you x
ReplyDeleteVthe dress looks wonderful (as do you!) absolutely love that fabric
ReplyDeleteThe dress looks lovely, the colour suits you too. I'm with Frances, I can't think when I last wore a dress or even a skirt. We're still ploughing through Christmas chocolate but only a little every day so it should last till Easter!
ReplyDeleteWell done with the dress (it suits you perfectly) and the healthy eating. When I was in the supermarket the other evening, I noticed everyone's baskets were full of broccoli and spinach. Mine too!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress and lovely fabric!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful new dress Gina! And Yay to a Happy, Healthy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! It looks really good on you, I like the fabric a lot!
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! Your dress looks great on you. I like the colour, patterned material and the neckline. Wishing you a good new year, rather belated, but I'm just getting back into a routine, which includes blogging, after the holiday period and guests staying over! Putting a blog roll with updates on my side bar has helped!
ReplyDeleteLove the frock! What's the fabric? Is it a jersey of some sort as it looks extremely comfortable and very chic. Sounds like your new year has started with a bang. Keep on rocking.
ReplyDeleteThese are a portion of the diverse sorts of dresses that you may end up searching for. You may likewise find that you require dresses for different events than those said. toronto coin laundromat
